Amelia

Sorry it's been a hot minute, I was contemplating doing the Joan sketch and decided since it was taking me so long, I'd better just skip that aspect and work on the collages.

A classic, 20's palate, and it seems like maybe I have a thing for androgyny at this point. Earthy, cool colors play a role in this palate, cool, soft pinks and neutral colors give this selection it's dominance. The harshness of the leather bomber jacket contrasts boldly with the flowy cheeriness of the chiffon pant.
Amelia had short, curly hair, which was helpful up in the air, but you could simulate the short hair with a bun or a ponytail. Flying instruments and "Bermuda" triangle jewelry add to the mystery.

Joan

This palate is bold and powerful, using metallic colors and reds and blacks. Use fleur de lis and crosses (France and religion) on jewelry and of course, weaponry is a must! Don't be afraid to mix your metallic colors in this inspiration either.
Despite many paintings depicting womanly curves and long, flowing hair, she was most undoubtedly taken for a man, so short hair and general androgyny is encouraged for a modern take on this character.

Marie Sketch

Okay friends, here is my first go at photoshop water color (because my actual water colors are packed away in a dark, musty, spider-filled closet).
Either way, I thought I'd sketch--roughly--how one might put this Marie look together. I'll try to do this for each collage, but I have a husband and a puppy, so there's no guarantee. (Excuses).
Also, I hope you enjoy my attempt at drawing a tiny hat, I thought about leaving it out, but this comic kept forcing it's way into my brain, so I had to:
Tiny Hats
Love ya.

Marie

This first post is an inspiration of the stunning goddess of fashion herself, Marie Antoinette.

The purpose of this palate is to suggest taking Marie Antoinette's incredible fashion sense to your own by including pastels, flowing garments, pearls in your outfit.
Remember, be bold and confident when wearing your choice of clothing, Marie was.
